About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, customer-focused Fashion Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional shopping experience while helping customers find clothing, shoes, handbags, jewelry, and accessories that match their style and needs. As a Fashion Sales Associate, you’ll combine outstanding customer service with fashion knowledge to create a welcoming environment and build lasting customer relationships.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and provide exceptional customer service.
• Assist shoppers in selecting clothing, footwear, handbags, jewelry, and fashion accessories.
• Recommend products based on customer preferences, lifestyle, and current fashion trends.
• Build complete outfits and provide styling suggestions.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Maintain attractive merchandise displays and ensure the sales floor is organized.
• Replenish inventory and restock merchandise as needed.
• Meet individual and team sales goals.
• Stay informed about new arrivals, promotions, and seasonal collections.
• Handle customer inquiries, returns, and exchanges professionally.
• Support inventory counts and stockroom organization.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Passion for fashion and helping customers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift merchandise when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in fashion retail or luxury retail.
• Experience with clothing, footwear, handbags, or jewelry sales.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and styling.
• Experience meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Familiarity with POS systems and retail inventory software.
• Experience working in premium or luxury fashion stores.

Salary

United States (Typical Range)

• Entry Level: $16–$20 per hour
• Experienced Associate: $20–$28 per hour
• Luxury Fashion Retail: $25–$35+ per hour (including commission)

Annual earnings may range from $35,000–$70,000+, depending on experience, commissions, employer, and location.
